Characteristics

Named after the 135° east meridian that crosses the city of Akashi in Hyogo province. It represents the passion for exploration beyond the borders of Japan. Inspired by the Taisho period, one of the country's most influential periods, this unexpectedly wonderful gin commemorates the time when Eastern culture merged with Western culture. By combining new flavors that enhance and complement each other, Kimio Yonezawa has created a new, innovative and unconventional gin, "Hyogo Dry Gin".

Among 50 botanicals, Master Distiller and Blender, Kimio Yonezawa , chose to combine 3 traditional ones from Europe, along with 5 authentic Japanese ones, all coming from small producers in the surrounding area. Japan's finest experts distilled them separately, in such a way as to preserve their character and then masterfully blended them. Capturing the essence of each Japanese botanical through a technique used in the production of luxury perfumes, 135th East retains its pure olfactory notes and delicate aromas.
