Curry Blend is a blend of different unadulterated spices and is used to add flavour to chicken, rice, fish and other meat and vegetable based culinary applications.
The word 'curry' is derived from the Tamil word 'kari', which means 'relish sauce for rice'.
In India, almost every family prepares its own similar blend of raw spices to flavour the food they make.
The usual main ingredient, from which the familiar 'curry mix' gets its colour, is turmeric, also known as citronella.
