Vintage 2009 is a Single Blended Rum, consisting of rums distilled in a copper Double Retort Potstill as well as in a continuous Twin Column Still at Foursquare Distillery. It is aged for 12 years in former Bourbon barrels and bottled at 60% abv, without chill filtering, in its natural color with no additions. A complex rum, with rich intensity and a tremendous finish.
The oldest Bajan jewel of the Foursquare Distillery from the island of Barbados. It belongs to the single blended rum category, ie it is a product of distillation of fermented molasses in double retort copper pot still but also in the traditional two-column coffey type distiller. It is ten years old in the tropical environment of this magical island in the American oak that previously matured Bourbon.
Its nose is classic Bajan, fruity, with notes of vanilla, chocolate and banana. The mouth is dominated by the warmth of burnt sugar, tropical fruits, coffee, vanilla and several spices. Its alcohol is 46%.
