Tasting characteristics - Ageing
A wine of unique intensity, combining the tradition of the classic Nychterio vinification method with a more innovative approach. A layered nose with aromas of ripe caramelized citrus, wax, roasted nuts, butter and vanilla. Mouth exuberant, ripe, nervy, with very good concentration and a persistent finish. A gastronomic wine open to taste challenges due to its complexity, with great ageing potential.

Characteristics

Two varieties, the well-known Syrah and the local variety Kolindrino in an unexpected meeting. The Naked King is born from the marriage of cosmopolitanism and tradition.

Winemaking
With a low yield and with particular attention to the ripening of the grapes, Gymnos Vassilis is a wine of great concentration, which requires the ideal moment of harvest. Thanks to the extensive maceration, but also because of its stay in French oak barrels, it has secondary aromas.

Aromas
Aromatically, it brings together elements of dried fruit and black forest fruits. On the palate, it is exuberant, full-bodied and balanced. It has a wide palette of interesting textures, expressed mainly through intensity, velvety but robust tannins and balanced integrated alcohol.

Combinations
The exuberant character of the wine calls for fatty textures, meats or fish with sometimes smoked preparations. For more special occasions, ossobuco, foie gras with red fruit, oily and crispy sea bass, umami flavours, cigars and dark chocolate with dried fruit will enhance the tasting moment.

Characteristics

Coffee, licorice, chocolate, vanilla and fruit in alcohol constitute a complex nose, while the finesse and the refined tannins characterize the mouth feel.

Characteristics

The youngest Vinsanto of Estate Argyros, demonstrating what youth is for such a wine. A strict selection of excessively old Assyrtiko, Aidani and Athiri vineyards in Episkopi, two hundred year old minimum, specifically earmarked for this style. Harvested at very deep ripeness, almost a month after the main picking date, giving insanely low yields. The grapes are sun dried for ten days, natural fermentation and three years of ageing takes place in old concrete vats, with additional aging for four years in old wooden vats. A luscious wine, with fruit at the forefront. Ready to drink on release but can age in bottle almost indefinitely. Final yield of this would be close to 75 ml per square metre of vineyard.

Syrah 100%.

Amyndeon plateau. Amyndeon viticulture zone. North-western Macedonia. "Turtles" sub-region. 640-650 m altitude, with north-western exposure, facing mount Voras. 69ha of Linear, privately owned vineyard situated at an altitude of 620-710 m.

Generous, full bodied, chewy, robust wine with a velvety taste. Vanilla, wood, mocha and toffee hints. Slightly tannic finish with long persistent aromas. Its potential complexity is under constant development. A "Vin de Garde" with a great future.

Characteristics

Dense black-red color, with concentrated aromas: black fruits and oak wood, harmoniously framed by nuts and herbal hints. Tight structure in the mouth, dynamic, creamy, with worked tannins and beautiful acidity. "Nemea" is only in theory the simplest wine produced from Agiorgitiko and the Aivali winery. It has a concentration and character that would be envied by wines at three times the price, while it has a very intense, juicy red fruit, next to sweet vanilla spices and soft herbal notes. In the mouth, the volume and the concentration are unprecedented while its aftertaste is in a word velvety. It is one of the aromatic and expressive Nemea and one of the most reliable Greek wines.

Characteristics

100% Assyrtiko

Composition/Winemaking: 100% Assyrtiko from the emblematic Clos Stegasta vineyard. Spontaneous fermentation in a mixture of stainless-steel tanks, wooden vats and oak barrels. Bottled after seven months maturation on its lees.

Tasting notes: A wine of high energy and power that sets the bar for the variety. The nose shows a striking combination of citrus and honeysuckle along crushed rocks nuances. The palate is vibrant and focused ringing with flavor and movement. It is overlaid with purity and saline minerality and finishes impressively long.

Characteristics

For 6 months, 70% fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and 30% fermented and aged in French barriques. Short pre-fermentation maceration and batonnage. Screw cap. Intense but elegant varietal expression, with notes of oak. Peach, mango, orange peel, toasted bread, freshness.

Characteristics

It comes from the Sauvignon Blanc variety, which is cultivated in a small part of the estate's vineyard. After pre-fermentation cold maceration, it is fermented at around 20 °C in French oak barrels, where it remains for a few months with its lees.

It has a bright golden yellow colour and a bouquet of summer and exotic fruits (melon, pear, mango, pineapple) against a background of smoky vanilla and aromatic grasses. It presents itself full-bodied, balanced and well-structured, having gained from its contact with wood. It is a wine with potential for evolution.

Enjoy cool at 10-12 °C.
