The brand new Barrel Reserve is a fresh, light and elegant Single Malt Scotch Whisky with no ageing age indication. It is fully matured in ex Bourbon casks and can stand up to any occasion - to serve neat, over ice or in long drinks or cocktails.
The 9th Edition of Kilchoman's annual 100% Islay release. This particular expression comes from barley crops in 2007 and 2009 from Islay. This release was matured exclusively in American ex bourbon oak barrels for nine years before being bottled at 50% ABV to give us 12,000 bottles. As with all 100% Islay releases, it has only 20 ppm of peat compared to Kilchoman's usual 50 ppm, allowing the tropical notes from the barrel to emerge.
Glenfarclas 10Years Old is a smooth, light and malty whisky leaving a long, slightly spicy finish. A lovely, delicate whisky from Glenfarclas is recommended as an aperitif whisky. It certainly offers more complexity than you would expect from a 10 year old whisky.
The highly anticipated Teeling Single Malt Irish Whisky is made with 100% malted barley. A selection of five whiskies in wine casks was used for this release, including sherry, port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Family-owned distillery with an undeniable "serrato" style. Light, sweet and fruity, with oranges, apricots and unripe banana on the nose evolving into spice and cake notes as well as dried fruit, pineapple and menthol.
The people at Teeling made history by bringing back whisky distilling to Dublin with their own expression of Teeling Single Pot Still, which was fully distilled in Ireland's capital city - the first time that's happened in almost half a century! Made from 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, it is bottled at 46% ABV with no filtering or additional caramel colouring added.
Torabhaig is the second distillery on the Isle of Skye which produces a traditional island whisky with peat and long fermentation in wooden tanks and plenty of interaction with copper, resulting in a fruity spirit.
Distilled at the privately owned 'Kurayoshi' distillery, it is aged in rare Mizunara barrels. Mizunara, or Japanese oak, combines a subtle sweetness, the aroma of aging that tickles the nose with a full and refreshing aftertaste that completes its uniquely exotic profile. A true masterpiece of Japanese art.
From the legendary Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. An impressive bourbon whiskey, aged for at least a decade before being bottled at 45% ABV. The whiskey has subtle notes of sugar cane, orange peel and buttered corn. Each barrel is carefully selected to provide consistent flavor, but with a seemingly individual personality.
A wonderful 15 year old single malt full of sherry and dried fruit notes. It is bottled at 46% ABV which results in the whisky having a juicy Christmas cake profile. A complex Scottish single malt that is very easy to drink.
