Robert Weil is a producer in Rheingau, Germany. He makes a range of varietal wines that are considered by many to be some of the best in Germany. The estate consists of 90 hectares (222 acres) of vineyards, planted entirely with Riesling. According to the German Law of 2001-02, each wine, depending on the maturity level of the grape, is given a designation. From ripe to overripe we have Kabinett, Spatlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese. Spatlese is one step above Kabinett in terms of maturity, so it is a late harvest grape. Here the fruit starts to be the first violin, while the flowers take a back seat. Because there are no words Halbtrocken or Trocken on the label, we understand that the wine is moderately sweet.
The estate's new white wine, an aromatic and elegant Malagouzia.
Vinification
The vintage is carefully selected under specific conditions in order to protect the particular aromatic character of the variety. After the harvest, extensive pre-fermentation cold maceration is carried out at low temperature and for 9 days without barrel. Malagouzia is the result of micro-vinification. Only 10,000 bottles will be bottled per "batch" to preserve, as much as possible, the aromatic surprise and complexity. In this way of vinification, the wine matures in its entirety and allows additional secondary aromas to evolve.
Aromas
In Malagouzia, the natural floral aromas of the variety predominate, together with botanical and citrus aromas due to the specificity of the area, which is determined by the altitude, the wide variation in temperature and the composition and humidity of the soil.
Combinations
Ideal combinations are light dishes and 'pure' flavours. The floral character of the wine makes it an ideal accompaniment to appetizers, light meals and fish dishes. But even on its own, in a glass as an aperitif, it is an excellent choice!

Beautiful, bright ruby colour. Intensely fruity on the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of black cherry, wild blackberry and liquorice. The woody character is subtle and marries delicately with the other aromas. As the wine evolves, there are more complex notes, such as mild spice, nutmeg and leather.
French white from Alsace, from the Riesling variety. Fresh fruity aromas and sharp acidity today or sophisticated, mellow aromas and long lasting in a few years.
Light pink with pink highlights (pink rose colour). The Bandol terroir on the nose reflects first the aroma of the mourverdre variety and citrus notes as well as the cool liquorice sensation. When the wine is aerated, aromas of white flowers come to the nose. On the palate there is a perfect balance between freshness and liveliness with white-fleshed fruit aromas.

An easy going and intensively aromatic session IPA beer. It has a light blonde color, and a dry and balanced taste. It is fruity, as a first impression, and charmingly bitter in the end. Aromatically it combines citrus and tropical fruits supported by flowery and balsamic notes.
